I watch too much TV.

2 03 2011

As you can tell I love movies. But I also love television, and I watch a whole lot of it. I tend to watch more television that movies so I’m thinking of adding tv shows into the blog. I don’t know exactly how that will work yet, maybe weekly reviews of episodes, or thoughts on a particular series. I want to do this because I think TV is so special in the way it reaches so many people who all (for the most part) watch it at the same time. This immediacy and wide reach allows for a dialogue to occur quickly, and that is the discussion I’m really interested in. If Community airs on a Thursday night I could post a review of the episode and we can start having a conversation about it. Something so special about TV today is that shows like Community and How I Met Your Mother along with the obvious heavyweights like Mad Men and Breaking Bad offer so much substance week to week (as opposed to a CSI or Law and Order) that a real intelligent discussion can be had. I’m excited about all this, and I really hope I can keep up with at least a few shows every week. We’ll see. If there are any shows you’d like to see on here just let me know.
